I am unquestionably sorry if I offend anyone with my verbiage, however please understand my heart is in the right location; My best friend is a guy named Steve, and his younger brother is Evan! Evan is a special needs kid, and I don’t suppose what the politically familiar term for that is these afternoons.
Evan is special, however in his own way he is incredibly smart! You might even say he is a genius, and the technical term is “idiot savant” however once again, I don’t suppose if that is an offensive term… What I do suppose is that Evan has an intuitive understanding of machines, and in certain Heating and Air Conditioning systems, care about I have never encountered before.
Evan never went to school, I’m not even sure he knows how to read, however I saw him take apart a space furnace with his bare hands, disinfect it, and then put it all back together, and have you seen the films where military guys can cut down a gun and rebuild it in minutes? That is what Evan did with that space heater, and it made me realize that he was something actually special… I did not provide him a job, per se, because Evan doesn’t understand the concept of having a job as an Heating and Air Conditioning maintenance tech. Instead, I provided the boy a activity, where I let him play with all the space gas furnaces and cooling systems he can handle. It makes him cheerful, repairing broken things, and however he can’t spell the words air conditioning, he is the best worker I have ever seen.
