Both of us had a lot to do as adolescents when I was living up north with our siblings and our cousins who were in a apartment just down the street from us. Both sets of parents planned it that way, which also relieves the burden of raising children when your sibling’s wifey and adolescents are on the same street block. That meant that all of us were all really close friends from a young age, aside from being first cousins. Both of us enjoyed walking a few blocks down the road to the nearest freshwater lake that had swimming open while all of us were in the Summer season. However, some weeks we’d get rapidly increasing temperatures over 100 degrees in the mornings and it would make everything assume really unbearable. I enjoyed swimming, even in the highest rapidly increasing temperatures, however there were days when I wanted to do nothing however stay inside our apartment or our cousin’s apartment and play video games. Our parents weren’t happy about that so we’d all get kicked out for hours at a time. If all of us wanted something to do with our time and it was too warm to go swimming or play street hockey, we’d pool our cash and head to the Dipson Theaters. There are few places with better air conditioner in the Summer than the local cinema. On top of having frosty cooling system in the rooms, there was also an arcade at the front of the Dipson Theater and it had frosty air conditioner as well. Both of us spent many hours of our childhoods playing games in these arcades and going to films when all of us had enough cash to afford it.
