Last Wednesday I was taking my trash out.
This wasn’t anything out of the ordinary because in my area trash day is normally Wednesday. I live in an apartment complex so what I’ll do is I’ll just pack all my garbage bags into my car and drive them down to the dumpster. However when I got to the dumpster I saw that there were several pieces of furniture that someone had just thrown haphazardly into the dumpster. This was really surprising to me because a lot of the furniture seems to be in good condition. Now I’m not the kind of person to go and take furniture from a dumpster, this is mostly just because you have no idea where it’s been or what it’s been through. Not to mention the risk for parasites and all kinds of other unwanted pests. However while I was down there there was something else I called my attention. I noticed on my left there was a box on the ground outside the dumpster in the box was an air conditioner. I looked at the box and I realized the box was sealed shut. This was a brand new air conditioner still sealed shut in the box that someone was just throwing away! It looks like a window air conditioner too which was perfect for me because that’s exactly what I’ve been needing. I didn’t realize until I got the box home that there is a big dent in the back and the reason I was being thrown away was because the air conditioning system had a dent in it. But instead of giving up on it, I decided to take my freebie and work on repairing it. It only needed minor repairs and within a couple days I had it up and running.
