I needed to hire new Heating plus A/C techs

Nick October 5, 2022

When the going gets tough, the tough get going.

That is the expression, it’s not something I made up.

It never made any sense to me, but I understand the spirit of what it means, and recently our small corporation started to honestly ramp up. Our customer list doubled in the course of three weeks, which meant the workload on our employees doubled. I had to hire some new people, plus hand out a few bonuses, however it seemed things were honestly going in the right direction. It turns out that some of our Heating plus A/C techs didn’t share in our enthusiasm for the boom in business. Because the people I was with and I were so heavily booked, our Heating plus A/C techs started losing their days off. Everyone had to labor extra, for many weeks in the row. I constantly spend money our Heating plus A/C tech double for overtime, however even that wasn’t enough for them. I have a few techs that were 100% invested in working as much as they could, however ultimately I had to let some of the other Heating plus A/C techs go. If they were not willing to put in the work, how could they help our Heating plus A/C supplier grow plus expand? The new Heating plus A/C techs were told instantly that they would need to labor 6 days a week. They would be compensated handsomely, however were expected to make heating plus cooling repairs their focus for the next few weeks. I have an eye on the future, plus all the labor I am doing now will spend money sizable rewards in the future when I have enough clients to open a 2nd Heating plus A/C repair shop.
