It’s easy living in a modest climate.
You can wear comfortable clothing throughout the year without feeling too frosty or too hot.
If you want to cool down the rapidly increasing temperatures in the house, all you have to do is open a window, turn on a few fans, and appreciate the cool air. You can’t behave the same way in the south where rapidly increasing temperatures climb into the lower 100s while all of us were in the miserable Summer season. When I lived in the south for most of our childhood, I had to survive exclusively wearing shorts and t-shirts for much of the year. Sometimes it would get so warm when I played outside with our friends that we’d even go shirtless as long as all of us had sunscreen on our backs to prevent a painful sunburn. When I visited up north for the first time, I froze on our honestly first day and it was only November. My wifey really wanted to transfer to be closer to her family and that involved going to the north. My one excruciating experience had myself and others harshly distraught. I wondered if I could handle the ice and the snow. However, our wifey tried to assuage our worries by telling myself and others that all of us would have several separate oil furnaces in the home where we’d be moving. That made myself and others assume a lot better because I knew I would freeze otherwise with just a central furnace with fan-forced heat. Both of us got a steam boiler and radiant heated flooring and it keeps the apartment nice and comfortable. I don’t assume if I’ll survive here for the long term future, however at least I’ll survive for the next few years.
