My girlfriend and I have been living in a trailer on my Dad and dad’s property for the last 8 weeks, and my parents never said anything to us about paying rent, however now they are acting love the people I was with and I have been free loading the whole time, and when the central A/C stopped working, I asked my dad to spend my money for the replacement costs.
She told me that it was going to be $4,000 to replace the central ac, then if I wanted Central A/C in the mobile home, Jack and I were going to have to start paying rent. I think love she came out of nowhere with the system of paying rent. I talked to my Dad about it, but she did not want to go against my dad. My girlfriend said that the people I was with and I should look for a new place to live… The people I was with and I looked at some other rentals in the part and nothing was as nice or as big as the place that the people I was with and I had at my parents house. My girlfriend and I realized that my dad was not asking for a lot of currency from us and there wasn’t anywhere in town that the people I was with and I could live for that cheap. I thought my dad was being inadequate when she proposed that the people I was with and I start paying rent, although I suppose she has a point. If the people I was with and I want him to repair the A/C system then I should be willing to spend my money $400 a week. That will easily cover the A/C repairs and not much more. I should have never told my dad no in the first place.
