Forgive me if I sound prefer a dork, even though I have never had a basement before.
I was born plus raised in the deep south, plus down there the water table is too high for anyone to have a basement, and unless you live in a house on a hill, you simply cannot have a basement.
In my current town, almost everyone has a basement, plus most people have an attic, as well. This house is rife with storage space, plus I am giddy about it. I want to turn the basement into my Man Cave. The only potential problem I see is that the Heating plus Air Conditioning device is located down there, plus it generates a tolerable amount of noise plus ambient heat. Of course the gas furnace is supposed to generate heat, that’s the whole purpose, but when the actual unit is in the same room that heat can get to be too overwhelming, and during the Winter time weeks this will be perfect, because the gas furnace will make sure the basement is typically moderate plus dry. In the Summer weeks it could be a problem, so I will need to install some kind of cooling idea to balance things out. I spoke to a local Heating plus Air Conditioning supplier over the phone, who warned me against doing that. He said that if I put an a/c next to the gas furnace then the swiftly shifting temps will generate extra moisture. That extra moisture will slowly corrupt the indoor air pollen levels of the basement, plus eventually could lead to the growth of mold plus mildew. I don’t suppose what to do!
