We finally survived this long and tepid Summer and I can turn off our AC component till next Spring.
I may even make it till the next Summer before I need the air con because it does not really get tepid here until the end of July.
I’m a bit concerned about the heat for the coming Winter months though as they say that heat uses about two or more than two times the energy that cooling does. I really have to check it out and make sure this is official though because if it ends up being the truth then I won’t be able to afford to use heating this Winter season. My last cooling bill was over $600 for two months for a tiny little flat that I live in alone. I can’t imagine if I ran the heat and our bill was $1730 for just two months. I am going to get a roommate soon to help with the higher rates for power, however if the heating ends up being that expensive then I would entirely need to find a second roommate. Either that or I have to find some great sources of income to help offset the cost of this ludicrous power rate increase. I’m not sure if that is official though about heating being that much more than cooling down a home. Does that sound right to you? You must think more than I do. I guess I could invest in a new, efficient area heating system and tote it around the flat to the weird rooms I am using as I used to do in our old flat long ago. I will find a solution.
