Part of it is my fault for keeping the thermostat set so low for most of the day
My roommate just told me how cold his room was last night, while I felt totally comfortable and could even have taken it a few degrees cooler. I told him to close the vent in his room so we’ll see if that helps. I am also going to adjust the smart thermostat so it is a couple degrees warmer than what it was last night so I don’t freeze him out. I think between closing his vent and bumping up the temp a couple degrees he should be good for sleeping. I just don’t want him too cold but I also need to feel comfortable with the air conditioning set to the right temp. If this doesn’t work then we can seal off his vent with some plastic and then there won’t be any air flowing into his room at all and he should feel much better. We’ll get it fixed by tonight or tomorrow, and he will be only staying with me for one more week, when this horror film festival ends and he goes back home. I just had him stay here to help me out with the power bill as my air conditioner has been running way too much the past couple of months. Soon though it will be cold enough out to where I don’t need the air con on any more.
