I assume that I was a very argumentative kid because I can recall my dad mentioning that I should become a lawyer.
While I entertained the idea of arguing a case in court, I had no idea what facet of law I would venture into.
At one point, I was obsessed with the law shows that flooded the air waves and I also loved all the movies that were themed around the judicial system. I pretended to argue those very cases using my own theories and speculations. I was wrong the majority of times, but when I was correct it was a huge celebration. Well, I remained interested in law especially after I discovered that the earning potential was quite substantial. However, I had no idea what avenue of law that I wanted to pursue as there are so many of them. They include personal injury, criminal, divorce, family, corporate law and so much more. And then I discovered the tedious step to earn a law degree. It includes earning an undergraduate degree, then taking the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) to get into law school. After 3 or so years of law school, then I would need to pass the bar exam. Obviously, becoming a lawyer is not easy and after I discovered the difficulty, I decided that I would pursue another career. Though I discovered that law was not for me, I do respect lawyers and the tedious path they need to journey to become a practicing attorney. But with focus and dedication, it can be a very lucrative career path for those who are truly dedicated to it.
