For sure, when it comes to comfort, my wife knows what she’s talking about.
Adding central air conditioning to our home not only raised the value of the house but improved the comfort immeasurably. We live where air conditioning is not at all essential. We’ve lived here for more than thirty years now. But this is only the second summer I’ve had central air conditioning. I find that it was worth the cost and the HVAC professionals take care of all the details. That made the process of adding HVAC cooling so simple. It’s really nice now that I don’t have to slap the window air conditioner inside a window so we can sleep on the really hot nights. Since we’ve been getting older, I’m also slowing down a bit. So it takes me a lot more time to take care of stuff around here. It won’t be long until it makes sense to sell this place so having HV \AC cooling added to the central air conditioning was the right choice. When it comes to the heating, we have a gas furnace and wood stove. Initially the wood stove was just for emergencies. But as the heating costs climbed I’ve used it as a supplemental heating source as well. These days it takes a lot more out of me to get all that firewood together. But it’s all part of my winter preparations and I’ll keep doing it as long as I can. Once I have the HVAC professionals come out to do the heating maintenance, I only have one thing left to do. It’s funny that I finish my winter preparations by covering the HVAC cabinet outside that produces the HVAC cooling.
