I think the only way this roommate wouldn’t toil out is if my property owner freaks out about myself and others having someone transfer in the flat.
I had a exhausting experience last year with a flatmate & the two of us had to call this local business evictor to get her out.
Now the property owner doesn’t want anyone else moving in because he is afraid it will repeat again; Well suppose me, if anyone doesn’t want an issue with their roommate it is me, then my local company neighbor said that he is totally out of his right to say I can’t have a roommate & to just get 1. So the almighty property owner is going to have to chill out a bit & wake up to reality, because there is no way 1 person can afford this stadium with the heating & cooling bill rates going through the roof. The rent is high enough on its own, however when you add in all of the other utilities there is no way I can pay for it all each month. I purposefully got a female roommate so if he says anything I’ll just say she is my wifey. I don’t think he can say anything to that, & if he finds out she is a legitimately superb Heating & A/C pro & can maintenance our Heating & A/C plan for free, I bet he lets her stay. If it comes down to it the two of us could typically transfer out & into another flat but I can’t see him telling us to go just to rent to several more new people he knows nothing about.
