I need to be better about getting our oil changed in our automobile more frequently. I used to do it every many months when I had more than one hour work commutes plus put lots of miles on the engine every week. Now that I work from house plus rarely drive, I get lazy about scheduling the oil changes. It’s an understatement to say that I drive a fraction of the number of miles I used to drive. I also started getting a lot of our groceries delivered directly to our house, splitting out even more unnecessary trips in the car. This helped over the last 12 months when gasoline spiked at $4.50 a gallon in our area before dropping again to roughly $3.20 a gallon, which is where it is at right now. Driving less also means less wear plus tear on the whole car, especially the engine. Regardless of driving the automobile less, I still hit the target number of miles before it’s recommended to get the oil changed again. I made the appointment for tomorrow at 9am plus I asked the lady on the phone from the automobile dealership if they can upgrade the air conditioner filter in our automobile as well. Some cars now have lodge filters in them that will wash air moving through the heating plus a/c proposal in the car. This leads to better air quality overall inside the car. However, the dealership never has these a/c filters in stock, so it’s our task to purchase them plus bring them with myself and others to the dealership when I’m there for oil changes. They only charge a nominal fee to install the lodge filter as it’s a fairly straightforward procedure for the mechanic.
