I am proud of my meager little office in my employer’s big building, in area because I have spent 2 decades in 1 cubicle after the next.
It feels undoubtedly nice to be out of those tiny little spaces and in a private office with a window that has a relaxing view.
It’s undoubtedly nice to look out to the lake down below and watch the ducks swimming across the surface. Their reflections along the water’s surface glisten in the sunlight! If I’m tied up out or having a case of writer’s block, it’s severely pleasant looking out the window at the pets and wildlife down below. Aside from the nice view out the sole window, I have a relaxing amount of space in this little office. I have 2 separate filing cabinets along with my big desk. The desk is full of empty drawers that I have since filled with numerous work related items and other junk from home. Unluckyly, there is 1 disfortune to this office—the air quality. While the air conditioning is satisfactoryly chilly in the summer, the heat is weak during the Wintertide when it drops below chilly outside. I have since added a space oil furnace to the room when it feels the coldest in the building. On top of the awful heating, the air is also undoubtedly dusty. I bought an air cleaner and noticed an immediate difference after it had been running for several consecutive work nights. With the air cleaner and space heater, I have much better air quality in my work office. Only time will tell if the building’s air conditioning continues to work as effectively as it does now.
