Finally, the summer holidays had arrived and my partner and I had carefully planned the vacation of our lifetime. Our ferry was scheduled for departure in less than one hour. At first, we thought we had enough time, but the bad traffic conditions were greatly delaying our arrival. The traffic jam was endless and we were starting to get very worried we were going to miss the boat. Also, the AC didn’t work so we opened the bonnet and hit it a few times. 55 minutes later we arrived at the port, just in time to retrieve our ticket, feeling hot and exhausted. My partner, who was driving, had never transported a car on a ferry before, so she was pretty nervous about the whole ordeal. Everything went well, however, and we safely parked the car inside the vessel. The heat down there was very unpleasant and we hoped they had air conditioning in the ship’s passenger area since we had to spend the night there. As the ferry started to move, a nice cool breeze helped alleviate the heat. We went inside and found an empty cabin to spend the night in. The only problem was that the air conditioning unit was too cool. Surely, such an important ferry company should have had a better air conditioning service. We tried to manually change the settings on the controls but with no success. The next day I went down with a nasty cold. Now I had to travel ill and miserable just because of their lousy HVAC service. I promised to myself that when I got back from my holidays, I would make a complaint and tell them that it is a dangerous health hazard for all the passengers on board to have the air conditioners turned on so high.
