Yesterday I went to my partner’s father’s birthday party and it was unusually hot for this time of year. It was the middle of March and the heat was scorching. So we went into a department store to cool down but the air conditioning was fully turned up so we went to a mall but found it was full of people taking advantage of the indoors, afterward we went to have some drinks in a bar outside, but we were sweating like pigs while we were having our beer. After we had our drinks we went to a restaurant to have something to eat, unfortunately, it was an enclosed area and there was no air coming in from the outside. This, together with the heat coming from the kitchen, was making it a very unpleasant experience. We asked one of the waitresses if it was at all possible to turn on the air conditioner. She said that usually around this time of the year, they don’t need to turn on the air conditioning, but assured me that they will make an exception. We waited and waited, but the cooling didn’t happen and we were still feeling very hot, so we asked the waitress if there was anything wrong with the HVAC of the restaurant. They said that it was out of order and that they called the HVAC technician to come and fix it ASAP. At this point, we were getting pretty angry because we were paying a lot of money to eat there, yet we were unable to enjoy our meal because of the heat. We assured them we were going to make a complaint about the terrible cooling system and that we would never come back.
