I am torn between my love for music and my love for my family and friends back home.
I’m not sure what to do though because my bandmate, who I have a great chemistry with on stage, lives here overseas and everyone I’ve known since childhood is back in the States.
I think I will give it till the end of this year and then decide if I should move back home. It is a tough decision because I don’t want to be back home doing nothing but hanging out with friends and family. My HVAC job is here, where I work for the local contractor doing hybrid HVAC sales and service, and my band is stationed here too. But maybe it is possible to have the best of both worlds somehow, I just need to figure out the right way to make both work. My mom is a retired cooling tech and she is 75 years old now, and I would like to see her and my stepdad while we all sit around the fireplace and talk about life. I know it is possible to have what you want in this world, I just need to figure out a way to make it all work. The local service provider where I work here has been really good to me, giving me all kinds of commercial air conditioning systems to work on and space heaters to sell. But I am close to my mom and step dad and really miss our twice a week meals at their home. I guess it all works out somehow doesn’t it.
