I was in the basement doing laundry when I happened to look up. I knew the HVAC duct was throughout the basement, although I had never entirely looked at it. It was high enough that I did not need to duck to keep from hitting my head. I saw some dust come off the HVAC duct, which got my attention. When I looked up, I noticed there were some rust around the joints of the HVAC duct. There was also small spots of rust in other parts. The more I looked, the more rust I saw, and I was start to get anxious. I knew I could not afford modern HVAC duct. Metal HVAC duct was high-priced, and if it was rusting in the basement, where else was the rust. I feared ot was widespread throughout the entire HVAC duct system. When my fiance got home, I pointed the rust out to my fiance. He had the same troubles I had. He hastily called the Heating, Ventilation & A/C supplier to have someone come out and check the HVAC duct. The Heating, Ventilation & A/C worker said there was no way to know how widespread the rust was without going into the attic and looking into the walls. He said my friend and I could get a HVAC duct cleaningg crew to the house, and they could check with cameras.
