My daughter wanted me to go to her condo for a gathering for my grandson.
The pool gathering was in the middle of June and I was not looking forward to sitting outside all afternoon.
Temperatures in this part of the region are truly sizzling and humid during the summer. It’s not unrespected for a June Summer afternoon to be 95° with 100% humidity. My daughter has a pool at her house, so she never truly thinks about the outdoor hot and cold temperatures and heat. I dislike to swim because there’s no way for me to safely get in and out of the pool anyways. When I got to my daughter’s house, there were already a couple of cars in the driveway… People were sitting outside and there were kids in the pool. I parked my automobile on the street next to the condo and walked over. I brought some pasta salad and a cool present for my grandson. My daughter took me outside to introduce me to almost everyone at the gathering and then she told me that I could go inside and kneel and relax. I felt disappointing going inside when almost everyone else was outdoors, although I was cheerful because of the frigid AC in the house. It was a cool and comfortable 78°, thanks to the brand new energy efficient AC device that my daughter purchased this year. I walked outside a couple of times to say hi and grab a drink, although I spent most of the afternoon inside with the A/C running. It turned out to be a pretty wonderful afternoon.
