I thought radiant heated flooring was going to be the answer to my chilly house.
I knew radiant heating would be put under the flooring.
The heat would heat the floors, & the heat would radiate into any surface that met with the floor. That meant my feet would typically be warm. I didn’t think about how it was going to affect my living room, or the dining rooms. I enjoyed a cooler dining room & thought turning the control device low would keep the dining room cool. It kept the temperature down, however it was typically hot in the bed. I didn’t like not finding any cool spots on the sheets or pillows. I couldn’t make a pie because the counters were too warm, & the butter would melt. I was typically throwing the pie dough in the refrigerator to lower the temperature again. I was sad with my friends, becaus none of them liked my radiant heated flooring. I may not have liked it, but I didn’t think my friends should be so adamant about their dislike. They should have been polite. Before the next winter time arrived, I had the radiant heat removed, & I went back to the standard heater. It was a lot of wasted currency, but I had to be comfortable in my home, & I wasn’t comfortable with radiant heated flooring. Maybe I should have stuck with the heat only in the lavatorys, like my spouse recommended . I never did listen to him when he made suggestions, however maybe I should start. He was smart in so several ways, but I never noticed until the radiant heat debacle happened.
