I thought radiant heated flooring was going to be the answer to my cold house.
- I knew radiant heating would be put under the flooring.
The heat would heat the floors, plus the heat would radiate into any surface that met with the floor. That meant my feet would consistently be warm. I didn’t feel about how it was going to affect my living room, or the dining rooms. I appreciated a cooler dining room plus thought turning the temperature control low would keep the dining room cool. It kept the temperature down, but it was consistently moderate in the bed. I didn’t like not finding any cool spots on the sheets or pillows. I could not make a pie because the counters were too warm, plus the butter would melt. I was consistently throwing the pie dough in the refrigerator to lower the temperature again. I was exasperated with my friends, becaus none of them liked my radiant heated flooring. I may not have liked it, but I didn’t feel my friends should be so adamant about their dislike. They should have been polite. Before the next winter arrived, I had the radiant heat detached, plus I went back to the proper boiler. It was a lot of wasted cash, but I had to be comfortable in my home, plus I wasn’t comfortable with radiant heated flooring. Maybe I should have stuck with the heat only in the washrooms, like my wife recommended. I never did listen to him when she made suggestions, but maybe I should start. She was smart in so several ways, but I never observed until the radiant heat debacle happened.
