It seems as if I have tried everything under the sun to stay warm at my desk in the Winter months.
I have purchased a space heater, I have dressed in several layers, and I have even used a blanket at my desk.
It seems like there is always something going on. In the winter months, the door is constantly being opened and closed, resulting in uneven temperatures in the area where my office is located.The rest of the office is closed off and does not experience the cold air coming from the outdoors each time the door is opened. I thought that having a space heater under my desk would solve my problem, but I have found that this only warms my feet and legs. This is nice, however, my hands are always cold. I feel like I should be wearing gloves inside. The only solution I can find would be to move my office further from the front door. I like that I can see who is coming and going, but the inconsistent temperature at my desk is going to drive me insane! I finally spoke to the property manager about this issue. He told me that because the windows are so large, there is a major draft coming into the office from all angles. We are located near the ocean, and the wind can get intense. Gary told me that he would have someone come out to seal the windows on the top and the bottom to try and prevent this awful draft from coming in.
