I never really read the junk that comes in my mailbox.
Unless it is a bill or a package, I will typically just toss the mail into the recycle bin.
For a while, I was using junk mail as scratch paper but you can only have so much scratch paper in your house. One day, as I was sorting through the mail, I came across an ad for a new local HVAC company. The HVAC company was offering no interest financing on a brand new HVAC system. I did not think this was real. I have been wanting to replace our heating and cooling system for many years but never had the time or money to do so. First, I thought that this might be a scam. I visited the HVAC companies website and realized that this was real life. I called them quickly to set a date before they changed their mind on this incredible deal. With a lot of other people in front of me, I would have to wait a month for my installation date. The HVAC company was so nice and through with me that I decided to tell my friends about the HVAC companies deal. Several of my friends bought a new HVAC system that week. After telling everyone I knew, I found out that the HVAC had a referral program and I just saved myself a ton of money on my HVAC replacement. I was even more thrilled to find out this news!
