With a smart thermostat, there is no need to worry about what temperature you leave the air conditioner or heater on. We can check the thermostat from thousands of miles away. Once, we turned the a/c off all the way from the other side of the world. The smart thermostat has saved us so much time and money. There is no need to miss flights over having to turn around to check the thermostat, and we are able to sail safely and confidently control the temperature of our home from wherever we are in the world. I think this is the best gift idea for forgetful people. We got my parents one for their house and they love it. They use it to cool and heat the house from the other room. They love their smart thermostat!
