My dad and I have constantly had a strange relationship; It’s been difficult for me to transfer past everything that my friend and I have been through as I get older, when I was a kid, my dad cheated on my mom and left us for her, but he lived with this other lady for six years and didn’t even call us once.
He didn’t call on my graduation day or any of my birthdays, so to say that I am bitter is an understatement.
I hope that one day I will be able to have a normal relationship with my dad, however I am just not sure that is ever going to happen. Well, yesterday my dad randomly called me and told me that he heard I was having troubles with the Heating and A/C system in my house… The only reason that he would have known about my Heating and A/C system troubles was because my mom must have told him. I don’t talk to my dad anymore however I know that my mom still has some kind of communication with him; My dad provided to pay for my Heating and A/C system update however I knew that meant there would be strings connected. I didn’t want to feel like I owed my dad anything because he provided to pay for my Heating and A/C system. I told him that I didn’t need his help, despite the fact that he was insisting. I told him that I didn’t want to accept his help however I feel it would be easily crazy of me not to let him pay for my Heating and A/C system!
