I never got into hunting animals for sport, as I really was impacted when I shot a bird when I was younger.

I felt so guilty for shooting the bird in the tree with my bb gun that I threw my bb gun in the lake that day never to use it again.

I did some fishing when I was younger with my grandfather, and really liked to eat fish, so for me that was more palatable than shooting birds for fun. Some people think you shouldn’t kill and eat fish, but I feel that it is okay to do. Whole home air purification in my gramps house was needed when we would fish because the smell made the indoor air quality really bad in the house. One time we caught 72 strawberry bass in a three hour period with my brother and gramps and I. We took all of them home and cleaned them near the climate control system outside and then bagged them all in water and froze them in the freezer that is near the air purifier. We ate those fish for the next six months or so and really enjoyed our fried fish dinners at my gramps lakehouse that overlooked the bay we lived on. My gramps ran a local business and lived in that lakehouse till he died, which was then sold and never to be seen again. That house is just a memory now, but all of those memories of my grandparents will live in my mind for as long as I am alive.
