Faulty circuit boards causes heater to quit

Sometimes I believe there are ghosts at work in my house that are trying to cause me problems. The house has been around for nearly two hundred years. Maybe some of the former owners decided to stick around. As strange as that sounds, there are frequently things going wrong with the house and no explanation! Just the other day, the electrical outlets in the kitchen decided to stop working. I am not a handy man so I needed to hire an electrician to check things over. He investigated and realized that the breaker that controls that area of the house needed to be updated. I hoped we were in the clear but the following day the Heating system stopped running without warning. We have an electric heating system and I was worried that the circuit board was the problem again. We bought the house a few years ago and the owners said they had updated it just a few years before. I never imagined that we’d need work done on it this quickly. When I woke up and the house was freezing cold, the electrical issues were the first thing that came to mind. The Heating system is only a few years old and we’d never had any indication of concerns before. It has run reliably and is still under the manufacturer’s warranty coverage. The only thing that made sense was more problems with the wiring in the house. Rather than calling an HVAC business I tried the electrician who had completed the previous repair. I was convinced it was another electrical problem. Sure enough, the circuit panel was to blame. We decided to have the electrician replace the entire panel. He rewired anything else that was a threat. I wanted to be sure the Heating system would operate all winter without fail.
