I know that I could save so much money if I could somehow teach myself to work on my own HVAC system, but it seems rather intimidating to a do it yourselfer like me
I am one of those people who likes being able to fix things myself. I have tried to teach myself how to do a lot of things, and I have ended up saving myself a whole lot of money because of it. I’m pretty good at plumbing and doing carpentry work, but one thing I am not good at is working on my heating and cooling systems. I really feel like my HVAC system is one giant puzzle that I have a very hard time fitting together. Add in the fact that it has to do with electricity and I’m just a little bit scared of it. Of course, I will always change out my own air filters in the furnace and in the central air conditioning unit and things like that. However, when it comes to actually doing regular maintenance or heaven forbid having to repair my heater or A/C, I feel like I really should just leave it up to the professionals. I know that I could save so much money if I could somehow teach myself to work on my own HVAC system, but it seems rather intimidating to a do it yourselfer like me. I really wish that I didn’t have to pay an HVAC technician, though. The service bills for HVAC repair can get to be really high really fast! If only I could teach myself all about heating and cooling, I could save myself a bundle! I saw an ad for an HVAC certification class at our local technical school and I’m thinking about signing up for it soon.
