I went to a concert last weekend and it was one of those big country concerts with lots of different artists. I was pretty excited about it, since I hadn’t been to one in quite some time. I went with one of my friends, and since the temperature outside was pretty hot that day, we rode with the air conditioning blasting in our faces for the whole trip. I was expecting the concert venue to be cold inside, since the weather outside was so hot. I just assumed that they would have the air conditioning cranked up really high to combat the high temperatures outside. Plus, when you have thousands of people packed into one building like you do in a concert venue, you know it’s going to start heating up in there fast! Anyway, when we got to the concert, I wore my sweater inside just in case I got cold from all of the air conditioning. Imagine our surprise when my friend and I walked in and it was sweltering and super stuffy in there. I couldn’t believe that it didn’t even feel like they had the air conditioning on in the venue. Then I noticed that there were HVAC technicians running around here and there like crazy up and down the main walkways. Apparently they were having some kind of air conditioning emergency and they were trying really hard to get the A/C up and running before the concert got started. They didn’t make it, but at least halfway through the first set, the air conditioning kicked in and the indoor air quality started to get better.
