When the Heating, Ventilation and A/C supplier came into wipe the ductwork, they told us that the ductwork was in such bad shape that it wasn’t worth salvaging.
They told us the two of us needed to have new ductwork installed throughout the entire home. The two of us both knew this was going to be entirely costly and it was also going to be quite messy. They would have to tear out walls and ceilings so they could put new ductwork in our home. I wasn’t entirely glad with this idea. The two of us wanted to get an bid of the scope of work and the cost for the work before the two of us made any decision. It took nearly a full morning for the Heating, Ventilation and A/C supplier to come into our house and do their inspection of all of the ductwork. I almost fainted when I saw their bid for the device needed and for the work that had to be done to install the new ductwork. My partner and I weren’t excited with putting out almost as much money for ductwork as the two of us would put out for a new Heating, Ventilation and A/C system. The two of us went through unusual scenarios with the Heating, Ventilation and A/C serviceman as the two of us tried to find a way to have the work done a bit more cheaply. The a single Heating, Ventilation and A/C tech told us that the two of us could always use adjustable ductwork which was much cheaper and it was also stronger and it would last longer. It was still going to be a lot of work, however the two of us liked the savings.
