Heated floors have separate thermostats for each room

I was really happy when my grandkids told me they were coming out for a visit.

This would give me a chance to show off our new underfloor heating as well as our new carpeting.

My husband and I got the underfloor heating installed last Summer and it keeps our house so comfortably warm. Our son and the grandkids acted like they were really impressed with the new heating but I think they were lying. You see, the next morning I found that the window in the guest room was slightly open and I know I had not left it open myself. That means that one of them must have opened the window to let the warm air out. Of course, I confronted them about it but no one would admit that they open the window. I let it go but the next evening I walked past the guest room and felt a cold breeze coming from under the door. The next morning there was no open window but I know my family had opened it during the night. I brought up the topic during breakfast and finally, the whole family confessed. They explained that the underfloor heaters worked too well and they couldn’t sleep in such heat. This explains a lot. I told them that there’s a thermostat in their room and if they can change the settings in the guest room to be cooler. The whole family laughed at this. They had thought that the thermostat was for the whole house and so they didn’t want to touch it. Now that they know each room has its own temperature setting, I think everybody will be more comfortable tonight.
