I used to go on all tropical holidays.

I would pick an island, a beach and a classy beach house to stay in for a week. My holiday consisted of drinking, kneeling out and maybe walking along the beach. The main complication when renting a beach house was proximity to the water, quality A/C and a good bed. I knew I would get sunburned at least a single day of the trip, so having good cooling was necessary. It was regularly nice going back after a hot day and able to sleep in the chilly a/c. Now I have changed how I like to do holidays. I am all about seeing current places, experiencing culture and exploring. Typically my holiday endpoints are chilly places. The weather never gets above 50 degrees when I am there. I travel all over the place too in order to experience as much as the country offers. My largest complication with each accommodation has now been the heating equipment. Traveling further overseas is more expensive, so occasionally I have to cheap out on the room. I regularly pay for it in terms of heating. The cheaper rooms only have a small radiator used for heating that I can’t control. The better rooms give myself and others a ductless heating system with a wall mounted temperature control that I can control. That is a way better situation. Sometimes the places crank the heating like every one of us do A/C in the Dipson Theater. I get where I sweat to death all night long and wish I could open a window. Then any store, bar or shop I go into does the same thing.
