I’m an Heating & A/C serviceman & I labor for a local heating & cooling supplier here in town.
I’ve worked at the same local & family owned Heating & A/C supplier here in town for the past several years, & I labor lots of silly minutes.
When my wife & I got married, I warned her that my schedule doing furnace repairs & a/c service would get entirely silly sometimes. I know she thought that I was kidding or something though, because my wife gets entirely mad at me now when I have to go out to do any emergency furnace or a/c calls. She seems to have forgotten that I’m the a single who has to do all of the emergency Heating & A/C service calls. It’s my job, & if someone is having trouble with their oil furnace, their heat pump, or their radiant heated flooring, then I’m the a single who has to go out & repair it. She doesn’t understand that, though. She says that someone else at the Heating & A/C supplier should go out to do the emergency heating calls, but unblessedly, that’s the description of my job. I know she just wants me to change jobs at the heating & cooling supplier where I work! But I like my job! However, I like my wife more than I like the Heating & A/C supplier, so I know I might ask my boss if I can change my minutes or start doing something different. I know me working all of these silly minutes as an Heating & A/C serviceman must be hard on my wife, though.
