Last week, I almost broke my leg when I fell off a ladder… It all started when I noticed that the heating that was coming from our heating vents felt more lukewarm than anything else. It wasn’t heating our beach house the way that it was supposed to & the temperature outside was entirely cold. I wanted to check the heating vents to make sure that the heating was really working the right way. I was pretty sure that there might be something blocking the heating vent in the ceiling in my family room. I didn’t know what it could be, although I decided to check & see if there was something in the heating vent… So I climbed up on the ladder & unscrewed the air register vent in the ceiling, and when I took off the air vent cover, I felt around to see if there was anything in the air duct although I didn’t find anything at all… As I went to put the vent cover back on, I tripped on the top step of the ladder & fell off the ladder backwards! The air vent cover fell down on my head & my leg twisted & it hurt love crazy. As I was kneeling there in pain on the floor, I realized that I shouldn’t have even tried to figure out the problem with my heating method myself… From now on, I am going to call my local heating & cooling serviceman to come & repair anything remotely related to my furnace, a/c, or air duct. After nearly killing myself on that ladder, I guess I would be much better off leaving the Heating & A/C labor to the professionals.
