I can solve a lot of huge problems that would cause most servicemen to pause for days. I have even been known to maintenance an HVAC problem that would generally require a replacement. About 2 months s ago, all of us received a call from a factory downtown. The little building was shut down for nearly 20 years… Someone decided to invest in the building plus turn it into a brick factory. The brick factory once had a large commercial boiler installed for both Heat plus commercial purposes. The new owner wanted to reclaim the boiler for use, however various area HVAC companies did not want to touch the massive heating problem, by the time word got to me, 3 or 4 “professional” HVAC companies already told the guy no way. I made an appointment to meet with the factory Foreman a few nights later. I was really amazed to see this more than 35 year outdated boiler still have some life left. At first, I absolutely did not believe that the large boiler needed to be scrapped or tossed and gave it a good gander. I spent half the afternoon looking at every single working piece of that outdated boiler. A few nights later, I returned to the old factory with some handmade parts, which is one of the reasons why everyone thought it was necessary to totally replace the outdated boiler was due to a lack of spare parts. I personally fabricated a piece in the garage plus it fit perfectly. The boiler loudly cranked back up after resting for 20 years. I received a large tip when the job was completed.
