I remember the lake home our parents used to have, it was the lake home us teenagers were raised in, then all of us used to love running around the property as well as into the apple orchards. Well, there was a single drastic Winter time I recall when both of us had this bad blizzard that lasted for a long while. Our gas furnace ended up failing on us, however blessedly both of us had the fireplace that permitted us to keep warm through the duration of the storm. Even though the blizzard was brutal, it was still beautiful when you looked outside after the storm. All of us were so thankful to have our fireplace, otherwise both of us absolutely would have froze to death. All of us had a great size stack of wood because for some reason, our father insisted that both of us all keep tearing wood before that particular Winter time season. It’s almost love our father knew that there would be a brutal storm as well as both of us would need plenty of firewood for the fireplace to make it through. A lot of our neighbors did alright with their fireplaces as well through that devastating storm, during the storm, both of us spent morning as well as night making sure to feed the fire in the fireplace with more wood, so that both of us would not become cold. All of us all slept around the fireplace while both of us were in that time as well when our gas furnace was not working. My parents have since sold that home where us teenagers grew up, however it will always remain in our memory as some of the best times of our life. Even now, I have a fireplace in our lake home because I feel having a fireplace is pressing for survival, in case the main heating plan fails.
