Because of all of the virus scares this past year, I have been having to visit my grandma through the glass door at her house. I don’t like doing it, and I really don’t think that it’s necessary at all, to tell you the truth. However, I’m not a doctor nor a scientist, so I’m just doing what I think is best for her at this point. I’ve been going to see her at least twice a week ever since all of this stuff started and I’ve been trying to stay out on the porch just to be on the safe side. During the summer and the early fall, that wasn’t really that big of a deal. The weather was pretty nice then and we didn’t have to worry about me getting too cold. But then at the end of the fall, the weather really started cooling down and I was stuck outside on the porch in the cold temperatures. I brought a little space heater with me to combat the cold, but the real problem wasn’t even the cold! The real problem has been the fact that my grandma’s furnace unit is right outside the door by the porch where I’ve been sitting to visit her. If I’m sitting there trying to talk to her through the glass door and the furnace kicks on, there’s no way that either one of us can hear a word! The furnace is so loud when it runs that I’m pretty sure there must be something wrong with it. I will be glad when all of this is over with and I can just go inside and visit her like a normal person!
