I am in charge of the fifth shift crew.
I have 125 employees on the fifth shift and the second shift has the same amount, but first shift has 300 employees. Every one of us package Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C parts and accessories and ship them to various local and national companies. Every one of us used to be the number a single provider of Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C parts until various years ago. Things have been slow since then and both of us have not been able to build business. Things got a lot worse after there was a Covid19 outchop in the plant. Every one of us had to stop all packaging and shipping services at the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C plant when 17 employees on various uncommon shifts diagnosed positive for the virus. The branch president had to hire a cleaning maintenance to sanitize all of the surfaces in the building and both of us had to close for various days. A lot of employees were sad to come back from labor after the outbreak. I cannot blame anyone for feeling that fear. Every one of us failed to keep the employees safe and now both of us are paying the price. Every one of us were doing our part, however it doesn’t change the fact that 17 people got sick on our watch. Next week, the business is going to lay off 1000 employees. I am certain that most of those employees will be from our branch. Every one of us only have half the usual crew and it very costs more to run the factory than both of us are making. The output is too low to sustain the business right now. Things won’t get better until both of us have a woman with a plan.
