Thermostat is too entertaining for eco friendliness

Sometimes I wonder if it’s necessary for every device in our lives to be “smart.” I know that everybody has become obsessed with wiring their house via security systems, recording doorbells, and artificially intelligent information servants.

However, is it really necessary for every single lightbulb to be controlled by your voice? I think not.

That being said, I have a lot of questions about the thermostat that we recently installed. When we moved into this house it had a basic plastic thermostat. I’m talking, the thermostat that includes a large plastic dial with numbers that roughly establish your indoor air temperature with very little accuracy. We knew that we wanted a programmable thermostat, at the very least. We should be able to set a temperature control program and forget about the indoor air handling devices for the most part. Not only will this keep us more comfortable, but it would cut down on a lot of extra work. Besides, having a set temperature control program helps you to reduce energy costs and overall wear and tear on your heating, cooling, and air quality control system. I was very interested in having an eco-friendly heating, cooling, and temperature control plan. Unfortunately, my wife and I wound up installing a smart thermostat that does not motivate us to be energetically responsible. For some reason, the makers of the smart thermostat made the temperature control device way too entertaining to use. Everytime you touch the thermostat, it lights up with brilliant colors and fun video game noises. I think that our heating and cooling adjustment has increased exponentially since purchasing the entertaining thermostat.
