I’m laboring as a deckhand at a local marina for the rest of the summer. I needed a part time task before going back to school in the fall. This is the first time I worked a task outdoors for 100% of the time. My previous 2 employers were an attorney’s office plus a living room at a nursing home. The latter task was constant manual labor, but it was done indoors for the most part. The people I was with and I had to take sizable bins of garbage outside several times each shift, and, once a month the two of us had to scrub the garbage section outside with buckets of soapy water plus sizable brushes. Otherwise, all of my employment has been indoors. I had no way of conceptualizing how absurdly hot it would be in the southern sun while I was in July plus October. It was so hot yupterday that I nearly passed out from a heat stroke. I get hot to the point where I struggle to cool off even when I get condo plus inside the comfort of my climate controlled apartment. When I got condo this week, I ran into the cabin plus jumped towards the thermostat to turn the air conditioning on. I was in horror when nothing happened plus the cooling system wouldn’t start cycling. I called the Heating as well as Air Conditioning company plus went through all of the procedures that they relayed to me over the cellphone. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get my cooling system to turn on. They sent out a serviceman who confirmed that my cooling system is broken plus that I need to install a up-to-date idea altogether. Now I’m stuck with big heat at condo until they arrive with my up-to-date cooling system next week.
