No matter what I did, I couldn’t get my cooling system to turn on
I’m working as a deckhand at a local marina for the rest of the summer. I needed a part time task before going back to college in the fall. This is the first time I worked a task outdoors for 100% of the time. My previous 2 directors were an attorney’s office & a family room at a nursing home. The latter task was constant manual labor, but it was done indoors for the most part. All of us had to take sizable bins of garbage outside many times each shift; And, once a month the two of us had to clean the garbage part outside with buckets of soapy water & sizable brushes. Otherwise, all of my employment has been indoors. I had no way of conceptualizing how ridiculously overheated it would be in the southern sunlight during July & October. It was so overheated yupterday that I nearly passed out from a heat stroke. I get overheated to the point where I struggle to cool off even when I get lake home & inside the comfort of my weather conditions controlled apartment. When I got lake home today, I ran into the home & jumped towards the thermostat to turn the a/c on. I was in horror when nothing happened & the a/c wouldn’t start cycling. I called the Heating & Air Conditioning company & went through all of the procedures that they relayed to myself and others over the PC. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get my cooling system to turn on. They sent out a worker who confirmed that my cooling system is broken & that I need to install a modern system altogether. Now I’m stuck with massive heat at lake home until they arrive with my modern cooling system next week.
