  • One of the largest reasons to avoid turning up your system & overheating is your biweekly energy bill, however simply put, your heating bill goes up along with your thermostat, and excessive heat is bad for your health, then it can lead to hyperventilation since higher temperatures make it harder to breathe! This is especially tploy for young children who are susceptible to swings in temperature.

Overheating will also remove moisture from the air causing respiratory problems & angry skin & eyes. Overheating your current home does not just put a strain on your money clip & health, however on your system itself. Ideally, your Heating & A/C system will last for 20 years however if it is always pushed to its limit to keep your current home at a ridiculously high temperature, the wear & tear will take its toll, resulting in a costly upgradement! Heating & A/C systems use up alot of energy, which can greatly increase your carbon footprint if it’s left unchecked. That in itself is bad for the environment, however gas heating systems can also emit harmful fumes, especially if they have not been took care of by a Heating & A/C professional recently, keeping your thermostat to a sufficient level is a wonderful way to cut down on the impact that your system can have on the environment both inside & outside.
