Grandma Rose has been telling me his life story, he heard that I was a writer, plus asked if I would write about her. She even gave to pay me, although I of course said no dice to that! Taking money from your elderly Grandma just to listen to his tell stories is not how family treats 1 another! Anyway, I have come to find out that Rose was a real firecracker back in his afternoon. She wasn’t 1 to abide social injustices, so he was 1 of the first local corporation owners to hire African Americans in the 50s. She owned an Heating plus A/C factory, plus a repair service that was affixed to it, plus had over 100 people on his payroll at any given time… Because the neighborhood was so small plus remote, his Heating plus A/C business was the largest supervisor in the area, so he had some real clout, but when he hired the first African American Heating plus A/C tech in the state, there was a lot of pushback from the backwoods locals! Grandma Rose pushed back, plus said flat out that anyone who wouldn’t allow his new Heating plus A/C tech into their new home would simply not earn service, then in other words, you had to be cool with this guy, or he wouldn’t let any of his employees work on your gas furnace! The complication did not simply go away, but most of the locals eventually went along with it, plus Grandma Rose hired many more Heating plus A/C techs of odd races after that. All this is just 1 chapter in the book of his life.
