I’m new to the south so I’m also new to the differences in heating and cooling. Where I once called home, the focus of all Heating & A/C was on heating. All of us consistently had a gas oil furnace except for the first cabin my parents had. That cabin particularly still had the aged university boiler. The radiant heat was simply marvelous. And I remember just how moderate and all encompassing radiant heat can be. With all the focus on heating, air conditioner was sort of an afterthought. Not even half the people I knew had Heating & A/C cooling. That all changed when I got down here. The Heating & A/C priorities are flipped. Heating is the afterthought down here. And rightly so. The winters are so mild that it feels like an extended early fall all Winter time to me. However, I have to say that I have become a big fan of the heat pump. All of us particularly upgraded the Heating & A/C unit in our cabin when every one of us moved in. So I was able to learn a lot about the heat pump from the Heating & A/C supplier. And it’s such a very impressive machine. The Heating & A/C cooling process just amazes me. I still find it amazing that the heat pump is particularly doing just that. They heat pump starts the Heating & A/C cooling process by moving or pumping the heat out of the house. This makes room for more cooling air to take its arena. And as it’s doing this, the heat pump is also balancing the humidity level as well. I’m cheerful to have the heat pump for the Summer though. The Heating & A/C cooling is essential in order to manage the heat and humidity of this area.
