In our house, there is like this one lone drawer in the kitchen where like every appliance or device warranty lives.
I don’t know exactly how they gravitate there.
I’ve never put one in there but that’s where they all seem to live. However, when I was freaking out about the HVAC warranty, that was the only one I didn’t find in there. The freak out had to carry on as I then began tearing apart the office and our files to see if I could find the warranty. This is because I had this terrible feeling that I hadn’t register the factory warranty for the new HVAC equipment we had installed a few months ago. I was so taken with the new HVAC technology, the smart thermostat and the zone controlled HVAC that I had no time for a warranty. But this little voice in my head suddenly popped up. And it was the HVAC professional telling me to be sure to read the warranty and get it registered quickly. I couldn’t remember doing any of that and I didn’t know what the time frame was for getting that HVAC warranty registered so I was in a bit of a tizzy. And I couldn’t find the HVAC warranty anywhere. My wife came home from the store and just stared at me a bit slack jawed as I tore around the office. I explained, rather frantically, that we had to find the HVAC warranty so we could get it registered before the deadline. That’s when she just smiled and told me that she did it online the day after the HVAC installation.
