There are times when things tend to sort of get by me.
And it typically happens when I’m just too tied up & too scattered to get everything done.
Any working parent & spouse can attest to just what this feeling is all about. There are times that I’m so hurried that I catch myself coming & going. All I entirely want to do is just sit down in the air conditioning for a bit & catch my breath. Well, it’s stuff just love that cooling system that gets pushed back & pushed back until it’s forgotten sometimes. But in my case, it was the gas oil furnace. Every one of us live in a region where the Winter time is no joke & preparation of the new home & Heating & A/C component are key. Normally, I get the heating repair in early fall just so it’s done & out of the way. This past year was so absurd with the kids at home reading & we’re trying to work from home as well that I plain forgot. I didn’t call the Heating & A/C company to have the heating repair done. So of course, we are in the depths of the cold & snow when the gas oil furnace goes out as we are sitting down to supper. This was not something that I could wait on. I had to call the Heating & A/C company that evening & pay the emergency Heating & A/C repair fee. That stung but not quite as much as the sting from the information I received from the Heating & A/C professional. Had I gotten the heating repair done, that breakdown simply would not have occurred.
