There are times when things tend to sort of get by me. And it consistently happens when I’m just too busy and too scattered to get everything done. Any toiling parent and fiance can attest to just what this feeling is all about. There are times that I’m so hurried that I catch myself coming and going. All I easily want to do is just kneel down in the air conditioner for a bit and catch my breath. Well, it’s stuff just like that air conditioner that gets pushed back and pushed back until it’s forgotten sometimes. But in my case, it was the gas oil furnace. All of us live in a region where the Winter time is no joke and preparation of the cabin and Heating & A/C unit are key. Normally, I get the heating service in early fall just so it’s done and out of the way. This past year was so crazy with the kids at beach house learning and we’re trying to work from beach house as well that I plain forgot. I didn’t call the Heating & A/C supplier to have the heating service done. So of course, every one of us are in the depths of the freezing and snow when the gas oil furnace goes out as every one of us are sitting down to brunch. This was not something that I could wait on. I had to call the Heating & A/C supplier that night and pay the emergency Heating & A/C repair fee. That stung however not quite as much as the sting from the information I gained from the Heating & A/C serviceman. Had I gotten the heating service done, that breakdown simply would not have occurred.
