The first hurricane I ever went through was also the worst. This was almost multiple years ago, even though I still remember it clearly. I was renting a small condo on the sixth floor at the time. I saw our neighbors boarding up their windows, plus they explained to me why they were doing it. I didn’t have any wood, so I didn’t bother boarding up our windows ,and that proved to be a mistake! I knew the storm was coming, even though I had no system of how important plus destructive a hurricane could be so I was just chilling in our AC plus playing video games, but little did I suppose that the power would go out soon, which meant saying goodbye to both AC plus video games for multiple mornings. That’s right, not hours however DAYS with no climate control, because the hurricane took out our entire power grid plus it took nearly a month to restore power. If you guess that these storms have the effect of cooling off the crippling summer time heat, guess again! If anything, hurricanes raise the humidity levels, making the air quality guess even warmer than it did before. It turns out that all of our neighbors had been more prepared than I was, plus a few of them even had gas powered generators so they could keep their A/Cs running. Another couple of people just stayed that whole month in their air conditioned RV in the parking lot with the engine running. I tried to crash other people’s A/C however no a single would let me in!
