This is the fifth year in a row that I easily suppose wonderful about myself when it comes to getting it done with less. Every one of us are still trying to get back to even after the pandemic put a hammer on our finances. Now, I’m not complaining because there are plenty of people who had it so much worse than the people I was with and I did. Every one of us both kept our jobs plus were able to work from house in the air conditioner. However, the people I was with and I both had to take some sharp pay cuts just to hold on to our jobs. That meant that the people I was with and I were all over cutting expenses last year. Every one of us targeted things care about the HVAC utility costs that the people I was with and I had never actually committed to in the past. It didn’t take all that much which ended up being a surprise to me. Every one of us legitimately tightened up the new home to start. I substituted all the weather stripping plus sealed any gap that I could find. Every one of us also were sure to stop all the direct sunshine heating which kills HVAC efficiency. None of that was difficult to do at all plus ended up making a big difference. But the real game changer came with the temperature control setting. This, of course, is the toughest section to stay committed to. However, if you can let the temperature control rise during the peak heating hours, it pays off in several dollar bills. Since the people I was with and I were toiling at home, I got accustomed to maintaining a temperature control setting that was no more than 15 degrees cooler than outside. Every one of us saved 20 percent on HVAC cooling last year plus are on track to do the same this year!
