My HVAC system wouldn't work after the storm

Nick September 21, 2021

For the past 3 days I had been carefully watching a storm that was being monitored in my area.

In the beginning I was not all that concerned because I did not think that it would affect me that much. However, as the days went on and I began to become more and more worried as I saw that the storm was getting worse and worse and intensity and then as if it couldn’t get worse than that, the storm developed into a full-blown hurricane. The path of the hurricane changed and it was going to be heading straight over my area. My city issued an emergency evacuation order and I had no other choice but to leave. I did not want to leave but it was what I needed to do to ensure my own safety. I traveled a distance away and for the time being stayed in a hotel. It was two days later that I was able to return home and I was concerned as I was heading back as I was unsure as to what I would see. When I arrived back home I was relieved to see that my home was still standing in one piece. The first thing is to get comfortable and turn on my heating and cooling system but I found out that my HVAC system was not working. This was bad and I contacted my local heating and cooling corporation immediately and they sent out a cooling specialist to take a look at my air conditioning system. I learned that my air conditioning system has been damaged in the storm and it would need to be repaired. Thankfully I was lucky because the damage was not severe and the cooling specialist was quickly able to repair the broken parts and once again I was able to have a working air conditioner in under an hour.
